The port of the small town of Eckernforde, where we stopped for some particularly fine fish. It had a lot of bones but it was still very good.

This is the German Navy Memorial. It represents the tower of a U Boat and the hull cross-section of a ship.
 
Here I am in front of U995 ‘Hutsenspiel’ which is preserved at Laboe.

This is the sort of cannons the Chinese were using in the day of ‘Doc’ and ‘Shanghai Lilly’. This example was brought to Germany by Oberwaffenwart Kleine as a ‘trophy of war’.
 
The propeller of the heavy cruiser ‘Prinz Eugen’. Prinz Eugen’ was thought of as a lucky ship and survived many battles only to be finally sunk in a hydrogen bomb test.
   
The bell of the famous battle cruiser ‘S.M.S Seyditz’. This ship took part in the shelling of Hartlepool in England and I have also seen one of her 11 inch shells which is preserved in the Hartlepool Musuem.
 
One of the finest German ships of World War I, the battleship ‘S.M.S. Frederick der Grosse’.
