On our way to Bute we first had to go to Tarbert to get a ferry across Loch Fyne.

Here comes the ferry.

Another ferry, this one taking us to Bute.

The Bay View Hotel, where the floor was sloping and so blocks of wood were put under the funiture to keep it level.

We were looking for an other ‘Important Stone Circle’, there was a sign but where are the stones?

I found the stones in the forest.

Here I am with a particularly important stone.

I climbed up a volcanic hill and of course there were sheep even at the top.

A view of a beach on the West Coast of Bute.

 A fine sandy beach.

At the Victorian Fern Garden, Delilah guards things and one thing she does not like are dogs going where they should not go. She chased this one right out of the garden.

Delilah is a very fine Calico and as such is now a member of the Orange World.

This is a 1,000 year old fern.

Here is a fern from way down under in New Zealand.

Bute is a ‘Tropical Paradise’.
