Lands End Park
Ugh! This is some sort of ‘King Arthur’ amusment park on Lands End. It looks terrible, car parking was very expensive but we only stopped for a moment to take a photograph and I did not pay.
   Sennen Cove
This is Sennen Cove, much better than Lands End and here we had some food after our flight back from the Scilly Islands.
 Pit Head
This is the Levant Tin Mine. Cornwall used to be quite a tin mining place, but that is all gone now. There is still mining in Cornwall but it is for uranium.
   Levant Cliffs
This little inlet at Levant is apparently an indicator of a mineral deposit. The surveyors used to look for these notches in the coast which are a sign as to where there may be tin or copper.
Fly Wheel
This is the flywheel of the Levant Mine engine. It is the only engine still in its original place. This engine was used for pumping water from the mine.
   St. Ives
The seaside town of St. Ives. This place was absolutely packed with tourists and there was hardly room to move.
 On the Cliff
Here I am looking out to sea at Hell’s Mouth and looking like Mr. de Winter from ‘Rebecca’.
In the SeaFinally I managed to find a place where I could get into the sea. This is Portreath.
Tintagel PointThis is Tintagel and believe it or not those are ruins of the castle at the right.    Ruins at Tintagel
A bit more of the ruin. Some think this was King Arthur’s castle. Some think it is a first class ruin.
 Atlantic Garage
On the way to Tintagel I noticed that the exhaust of my car seemed to be getting a bit noisy so I called into Atlantic Motor Services to see if they could tend it. Tend it they did.
   Our Car
While the car was being fixed they let us have this courtesy car and so went off to the town of Boscastle.
 Boscastle
The town of Boscastle, which is noted for some interesting shops and has its own witchcraft museum.
   Mason's Meal
Then we had a meal in the ‘Mason’s Arms’ and you will notice that I have a suitable ‘square’ plate.
