Skye

Our first view of Skye from the ferry.

A very nice cone shapped hill and I don't think you need to be a geologist to guess its origin. This picture was taken when we stopped for refreshment at Sligachan.

Where we stayed in Uig, right by the ferry terminal.

Here are some fishing boats at the port of Uig

This is the nicely named Loch Snizort as seen from the pier at Uig.

This rock formation is called the 'Quraing' - I have no idea what that means.

Here I am high on a hill with some cliffs in the background.

This is a view from Dunvegan Castle.

Dungaven Castle, home of the MacLeod's and also the famous 'Fairy Flag'. The Fairy Flag will make the clan invincible in battle once it is unfurled, but it's magic will only work three times and it has already been used twice.

Here are some very nice bushes from the castle gardens.

More flowers from the garden

They even have a garden waterfall.

The formal castle garden with a monkey puzzle tree or Chilean Pine.

A blue flower that I found.
